Home remodels can be exciting—but they also come with unique challenges. One of our Fernandina Beach customers, living in their home during a remodel, experienced an emergency in the upstairs guest bathroom. We initially installed a new MOEN cartridge in the guest bathroom sink on March 14, 2026. A week later, on March 21, 2026, the homeowner heard a loud CLUNK while using the sink and discovered water pouring through the ceiling below.

After a quick call, our technician was on-site promptly to assess the situation. Upon inspection, it was determined that a 1/2" broken CPVC line in the wall was causing the leak—not the newly installed cartridge. The technician made the necessary repairs and successfully restored water service without any further issues.
